Daniel Wind is a skilled creative professional who brings integrity, innovation, and his unique perspective to the field of digital media production.
While attending Florida State University as a Theater Studies major in 2011, Daniel acted in a short film for the FSU Film School. After observing the production process on set, he became fascinated with the collaborative process of filmmaking. The following year, he wrote, directed, filmed, and edited his first short film, submitting it within his application to FSU's Media Production program. He was one of 54 students admitted to this limited-access two-year program, where he learned the fundamentals of digital media production. Daniel graduated with a dual degree in Digital Media Production and Theater Studies in 2014.
Since graduating, Daniel has worked diligently to refine his skills. He currently works at Wounded Warrior Project in the role of Multimedia Specialist, a unique role that requires a well-rounded knowledge of video production and photography. For the past four years, he has produced multimedia content for social media, PR, marketing, and WWP's newsroom, ranging from documentary and PSA content for various mental health awareness campaigns to event highlights and educational shorts for WWP's social channels. Daniel is also the communications strategic lead for WWP's Carry Forward 5K, a national 5K fundraising event.
Before working in the non-profit sector, Daniel worked in the private sector with a handful of production companies in Florida (TREW Media, Sasquatch Studios, Silver Digital Media) and a television production company (Greenlight Television). He has also worked at two research institutes for Florida State University (LSI, FCRR).
In his free time, Daniel loves hiking, biking, exploring the outdoors, petting his cat, and spending time with friends and family. He also does abstract photography with his photos featured in a local cafe in Jacksonville, FL, where he currently lives.
